Harriette Crump was the rare kind of individual one seldom finds in a lifetime. Her untiring efforts enabled NC CORD to grow and develop to a level where success for all overshadows glory for a few. Harriette began her career in resource development at Halifax Community College and also worked at the College of The Albemarle until her untimely death in 1982.
Her loss left a void for all who knew and loved her. CORD has established an endowment for the Harriette McKinnon Crump Memorial Scholarship. Funds generated from this endowment will be used to provide scholarship monies to NC CORD members selected to attend the National Council of Resource Development Specialist Training Program.
