Plagiarism

The following definition of plagiarism is taken directly from the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Student Handbook, Code of Conduct, Behavior Standards.

Academic Dishonesty 1(a) Academic Integrity

The College prohibits taking or acquiring possession of any academic material (test information, research papers, notes, etc.) from a  member of the College staff or another student without permission; receiving or giving help during tests;  submitting papers or reports presented as the student’s original work that are not entirely the student’s own; not giving credit for others’ work.

It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that all work submitted is free of plagiarism. If you are unsure about how to cite your sources properly, please contact The Writing Resource Center or consult the style manuals available at the Circulation Desk in the LRC Information Commons.
