Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is a fully accredited community college with multiple campuses located in Rowan and Cabarrus counties. As of August 2023, the College has 42 Programs of Study and offers 40 associate degrees, 42 diplomas and 107 certificates\u00a0<\/span>and has a faculty-to-student ratio of 15 to one. Since 1963, Rowan-Cabarrus has educated over 650,000 individuals and has continued to develop and deliver programs that meet the needs of the local community. Rowan-Cabarrus is dedicated to creating a future that offers hope and opportunity to all citizens.<\/p>\n

College Transfer (AA, AE, AFA in Visual Arts, AS)<\/h3>\n

Sometimes starting off at a large four-year college or university is not the right choice for students. Whether they want to save money, live closer to home,\u00a0enhance\u00a0their study and learning skills or just enjoy the perks of attending a smaller institution, the Rowan-Cabarrus transfer programs are an excellent stepping stone to a four-year degree. Rowan-Cabarrus offers transfer programs in four areas: Associate in Arts, Associate in Engineering, Associate in Fine Arts in Visual Arts, and Associate in Science. Students who complete a transfer degree may earn up to 60 semester hours to transfer to a University of North Carolina System institution. Students may also earn credit hours to transfer to private colleges and universities. For a smooth transfer, students should coordinate with their\u00a0chosen college or university to determine which courses they should complete.<\/p>\n

College Connections for High School Students<\/h3>\n

Career and College Promise\u00a0offers qualified Rowan County and Cabarrus County high school students structured opportunities to dually enroll in community college courses, thus providing pathways leading to a certificate, diploma, or degree as well as providing entry-level job skills. Rowan-Cabarrus in collaboration with Cabarrus County Schools,\u00a0Kannapolis City Schools, and the Rowan-Salisbury School System hosts three Early College High Schools for students to complete an associate degree or earn up to two years of college credit within five years.<\/p>\n
