Blackboard @ Rowan-Cabarrus<\/h2>\n

Blackboard<\/a>\u00a0is the College\u2019s original Learning Management System (LMS). Effective Fall 2026, it is being used by certain Corporate and Continuing Education (non-credit) online classes and by Curriculum (for-credit) students from Spring 2026 who are completing their Academic Probation course. \u00a0All Curriculum courses are using the new LMS, Canvas.<\/p>\n

Logging Into College Systems:<\/h3>\n

Student User ID –<\/strong> last name\u00a0– up to 10 characters.first initial.last 5 digits of Student ID<\/p>\n

For example: <\/strong>Shawn Christopherson with Student ID #0087654 would have the user ID: christophe.s.87654. <\/strong>You will log in to Blackboard with your email address that includes the student user ID @student.rccc.edu (example: christophe.s.87654@student.rccc.edu).<\/p>\n

Password –\u00a0<\/strong>You\u2019ll have one<\/strong> password. The initial default password is mmddyyyy@B3@c0n! (where the mmddyyy is your birthdate and the 0 at the end of the password is a zero). <\/span>Once you login to any campus application for the first time, Blackboard or email, you will be prompted to reset your password.<\/p>\n
