Creative Currents: Contemporary Realism & Drawing Workshop with Jessica “JB” Burke

We are honored to kick off this series by welcoming visual artist and educator Jessica Burke! Jessica is a remarkable contemporary realist working in both traditional and digital drawing media. She is a full-time faculty member at UNC Charlotte and a valued member of our AFA Advisory Board.

About the Artist: JB’s work, which focuses on the intersection of identity, memory, and mass media, has been featured worldwide, including at the prestigious Art Basel exhibition in Miami. Recently featured in the 20th Anniversary edition of Hi-Fructose Magazine, Jessica truly emulates the type of success our Art & Design students aim for.

Creative Note: Artists are encouraged to bring professional-grade colored pencils, sketchbooks, and toned papers. Some supplies will be provided. Please register in advance to help us plan!
