Cybersecurity Training Opportunity: Physical In Cybersecurity for Critical Infrastructure (MGT452)
Course Description:
MGT452 is an eight-hour course. The national and economic security of the United States depends on the reliable functioning of critical infrastructure. This course encourages collaboration among individuals and organizations responsible for both physical and cybersecurity to develop integrated risk management strategies that enhance the capabilities necessary to protect our Nation’s critical infrastructure. Participants will identify physical and cybersecurity concerns impacting the overall infrastructure security posture, examine integrated physical and cybersecurity incidents and the evolving risks and impacts they pose to critical infrastructure, and explore resources to improve security within an organization, business, or government entity.

Rowan-Cabarrus has been selected to host in-person, instructor-led cybersecurity training from Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX).
These instructor-led courses are developed by the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC). This training opportunity is FEMA-funded and is free of cost. They are designed to empower communities, businesses and government agencies to prepare for, respond to and recover from cyber incidents.
Individual trainees are expected to bring their own laptops/tablets for training, as the curriculum is done electronically. Once registered, attendees will receive a training portal login and download the materials for their class. The training course will then follow the downloaded materials on each individual’s personal device.
