Sustainability Series: Water Quality Awareness

Hope you can make the first installation of our Sustainability Series on September 12 from noon to 1 p.m. on North Campus – building 600, room 101. Open to faculty, staff, and students. Bring your lunch or make a friend and go after to discuss your 2020 Sustainability goals!

We will have speaker Jim Amaral. Come and help us celebrate Water Quality Awareness month, which was in August – but better late than never.

Jim Amaral is a young professional that has dedicated his career to municipal utilities. He currently manages Salisbury-Rowan Utilities’ Water and Wastewater treatment facilities. He is a product of community college, earning his associate degree in business administration from Stanly Community College. He furthered his education and obtained a Bachelor degree from UNC Pembroke in Public Administration and is currently working towards a graduate degree from Pfeiffer University in the Science of Leadership. Jim holds an array of utility-related certifications. He is an Ironman finisher and certified yoga instructor. Jim resides in the southern part of Rowan County with his wife, Heather, and beagle, Lou.
