Minimum: A Bachelor’s degree majoring in an art or a design-related discipline (e.g., Fine Arts, Art History, Arts Administration, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning or Urban Design), plus two years experience in arts administration, public arts or design-related discipline.Substitution: Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis. A master’s degree in one of the required specialty areas may be substituted for one year of the experience requirement.Desirable: a) experience involving public art and/or design enhancements; b) previous public art administration experience; c) education and/or professional experience in more than one arts/design-related discipline; d) Masters Degree in arts or design-related discipline.
