“Faces of Trinity Living” Portrait Exhibition
Once again, Trinity Living Center is opening its doors to area artists by providing models for portraits. Biographies of our participants are available to you, providing a sense of connection with your subject. Portraits may be started at any time and will need to be turned in no later than August 12, 2016.
With your help, we can literally put a face on Trinity Living Center. Our ministry of care to frail elderly and disabled adults is vital to our community. Our participants’ faces are etched with years of working, loving and living. Your artistic talent is a gift, and your presence in our center will enrich the lives of our participants. We hope this experience will enrich your life as well.
You may work in the medium of your choice. If you choose, you may bring your camera and photograph the model and complete your work at home. Or, a photograph of the model will be provided for you to work from.
Once completed, the portraits will be on exhibit at Waterworks Visual Arts Center beginning September 30th, with an opening reception on October 6th. In early November 2016 the portraits will be presented to family members to keep and cherish. In past years the “Faces of Trinity Living” portraits have received coverage in feature articles in the Salisbury Post, as well as exposure in the Salisbury Post’s Time Out. In addition, your biography will be displayed beside your work of art.
We look forward to another incredible exhibit of fascinating faces which will showcase our mission and your talent. To participate, please call Trinity Living Center at 704-637-3940 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Further details will be provided at that time.

Tattoo Design Contest
A grim reaper (kind of menacing) holding a set of Libra scales (or scales of justice) in front of or being held by the reaper, in the background of the reaper, I want there to be two huge Scythe’s crisscrossing in the background. Then at one of the scale bottoms, an anchor and in/on the other side an anvil. Underneath the anchor the word “HOPE” and under the anvil the words “NEVER FAILS”. It should be a shaded piece with gray and black shadowing effects. Eventually, for a tattoo design it should/could be gray and black fully. But for the actual art… The anchor could be a deep or royal blue and the anvil could stay black and have red undertones within the reaper’s sythes and maybe gold with blue for the scales… with the word “HOPE” under the Anchor and “NEVER FAILS” under the Anvil.
First prize wins $100.00.
The due date for the piece is November 18th, 2016.
