Mammography Course<\/h1>\n

Mammography is 79 hours and is designed to provide professional education in the field of mammography to American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered technologists.<\/p>\n

It has been designed to meet the MQSA requirements set by the FDA. Upon completion of this course, participants will be registry eligible under ARRT\u2019s current requirements.<\/p>\n

The didactic section of this course is state-approved by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) 28 class A continuing education credits. To receive ASRT credit for this course, you must attend all didactic sessions in full.<\/p>\n

Prerequisite<\/h2>\n

Students must be an ARRT-registered Radiologic Technologist.<\/p>\n

All didactic classes will be held on campus at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College North Campus. 50 hours (minimum) of clinical instruction will be provided to include student performance of: mammograms, quality control testing and image interpretation. Clinical schedules will be site dependent and normally require around 7 full days to complete. Schedules will be distributed to the students on the first class day.<\/p>\n
