Course Goal: To enable participants to locate, identify, preserve, and evaluate evidence commonly found at the scene of traffic crashes.
Course Objectives:
- Locate and identify evidence from the crash scene, vehicles, and the roadway
- Preserve and process that evidence using the following methods:
- Field sketches
- Triangulation/Baseline
- Measurement data sheets
- Photographs
- Organize collected evidence for the case file and class presentation
- Perform a variety of mathematical formulas, including:
- Speed
- Velocity
- Time
- Distance
Course Requirements: Attendance is expected at all course sessions and satisfactory completion of practical exercises must be accomplished. A minimum, or higher, course score is required to earn a certificate of completion.
