The basic training course introduces the concepts from the mindset of research of the founders of CPTED and provides a foundation to understand how CPTED principles may be applied which other similar courses lack. CPTED addresses crime by addressing the built environment through an unbiased approach drawn from sociology, architecture, criminology, and psychology. We endeavor to make the environment attractive to legitimate users while making it unattractive to the criminal illegitimate users.
