This is a basic tactical handgun operator shooting course. This course is designed for patrolman, detectives, school resource officer and SWAT operators. This is a demanding shooting course that will challenge the student on CQB shooting situations. There will be numerous drills that will have the student work on quick target acquisition, recoil, trigger manipulation, and trigger control, sight alignment, firing on the move, gas mask shooting drills, defensive tactics on weapon retention and many other courses of fire. This is not a precision shooting course or distance shooting. The officer will be dealing with threats at CQB distance and single / double arm intervals.

The main purpose of this course is to take the student to a higher level of CQB proficiency by the course end. This training will build the confidence of student and enhance their ability to win a gun fight once deadly force is encountered.

Equipment needed for class is listed below.

1. Duty handgun and web gear/ tactical gear if available
2. 3 handgun magazines
3. 500 rounds of handgun
4. Eye, ear protection mandatory
5. Ballistic vest mandatory
6. Baseball style cap / BDU pants recommended
7. Rain gear
8. Gas mask
9. Plenty of water/Gatorade
