Course Overview
This exploration immerses participants in the critical methodologies and practices crucial for effective human intelligence (HUMINT) collection within the law enforcement context. Throughout the course, participants will gain insights into the psychological principles and ethical considerations that underpin the interviewing process as it relates to HUMINT Collection.
Objectives:
- Equipt participants with the knowledge to identify and categorize different types of human intelligence sources;
- Understand the legal and moral frameworks governing the interview;
- Apply advanced, evidence-based techniques to elicit accurate information.
Students will engage in practical exercises, scenario-based training and case study analyses, fostering an understanding of rapport-building, non-coercive techniques and cognitive strategies. Participants will examine methodologies in conducting interviews that not only respect human dignity but also meet legal standards, thereby enhancing the integrity and effectiveness of law enforcement operations.
