The Officer Survival 1 course reinforces and expands on skills acquired in BLET that relate to law enforcement duties. The course content includes: 1) mental and physical preparation to survive high risk encounters, 2) known and unknown vehicle stop tactics, 3) concepts and intervention in domestic violence disputes, 4) entry and searching and clearing of buildings, 5) responding to robbery calls, 6) multiple stack formation movement techniques, tactical firearm handling drills and the 21-foot edged weapon “How Close is too Close” training. Class
