This includes the identification of the offender, motivation, evidence of mental illness, and threat management. This course emphasizes distinguishing between those who make threats and those who pose threats. This course includes specific case studies such as stalking\/threatening political and media persons, mentally ill threateners and anti-government &#8220;true believers.&#8221; What causes a, &#8220;normal&#8221; teen to become a mass murder? Can they be predicted and prevented? This course examines, the various theories of the cause of school shooters, warning signs, assessment and intervention techniques.
