The Rowan-Cabarrus Library adheres to <a href=\"\/\/www.ncleg.gov\/EnactedLegislation\/Statutes\/PDF\/BySection\/Chapter_125\/GS_125-19.pdf\">N.C. General Statute 125-19 (2004)<\/a>.<\/em><\/div><\/div>\n<h2>Eligibility<\/h2>\n<p>Proof of eligibility is required and is based on the following:<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_toggle title=&#8221;Students, Faculty and Staff&#8221; open=&#8221;on&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Presentation of a valid photo identification (Rowan-Cabarrus ID or other photo ID)<\/li>\n<li>Currently enrolled or employed with the College<\/li>\n<li>Have an active record in our Evergreen System<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_toggle][et_pb_toggle title=&#8221;Community Borrowers&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Presentation of a valid North Carolina driver\u2019s license (or a valid North Carolina state-issued picture ID). We do not accept out-of-state licenses, work IDs, rent or utility bills, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Completion of the \u201cPublic Patron Registration Form.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Rowan or Cabarrus County residence.<\/li>\n<li>18 years or older<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>.A one-time $5.00 charge. Lost IDs will be replaced for an additional $5.00 fee.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_toggle][et_pb_toggle title=&#8221;Special Permission&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Privileges may be extended to special groups at the Director of Library Services\u2019 discretion on special occasions. Eligibility is granted at the Director\u2019s discretion and will be agreed to in a written contract of services.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_toggle][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Text&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;font-size: 26px\">Responsibility of Borrowers<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Borrowers are responsible for library materials charged to them until the Library receives them back. Borrowers must present a valid Rowan-Cabarrus identification card or Community Borrower card to borrow library material.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Borrowers are prohibited by Library policy from lending their Library cards to others<\/li>\n<li>Borrowers are prohibited by Library policy from borrowing Library materials for another person.<\/li>\n<li>Borrowers are responsible for maintaining current contact information with Rowan-Cabarrus and the Library.<\/li>\n<li>Borrowers are responsible for maintaining a current email address with Rowan-Cabarrus and the Library.<\/li>\n<li>Borrowers are responsible for notifying the Library of a lost or misplaced card as soon as possible. The person to whom the card is issued is responsible for its use, including any misuse.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Borrowers who abuse Library borrowing privileges may have their privileges suspended. Examples of Library borrowing privileges abuse include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Materials delinquency.<\/li>\n<li>Non-payment of fines and replacement costs.<\/li>\n<li>Not responding to notices.<\/li>\n<li>Mutilation or damage of Library materials.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The person to whom the library card is issued is responsible for its use, including any misuse.
