Rowan-Cabarrus is a member of the North Carolina Community College Evergreen<\/a> Consortium (NCCCE), which allows students and faculty to borrow books from more than 50 community colleges around the state and access Rowan-Cabarrus Library\u2019s local collection.<\/p>\n
Patrons may request books be delivered to the campus of their choice from any of these schools or Rowan-Cabarrus libraries. There are no charges for this service.<\/p>\n
How it Works:<\/strong><\/p>\n

- Search our Evergreen Catalog<\/a> or All-in-One Search<\/a> to find books.<\/li>\n
- Request books by clicking the “Place hold” or “Request Item”\u00a0button in the book record.<\/li>\n
- Login using your SSO Rowan-Cabarrus email and password.<\/li>\n
- Watch for an email notification that your items are ready for pick-up.<\/li>\n
- Go to your chosen campus library.<\/li>\n
- Pick up your items.<\/li>\n
- Return the books to a\u00a0book drop<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0Library<\/a>\u00a0when finished.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

Speed depends on where the Library must request the material. Books in the Rowan-Cabarrus Library will be sent immediately to the designated pick-up location (typically 24 to 48 hours). If we must go further away (other community Colleges or universities), the material turnaround time will be approximately ten days. Users may check the Library\u2019s catalog<\/span><\/a> for material availability.<\/p>\n

To be eligible to request books, you must:<\/p>\n

- Be a student, faculty, or staff member with an active record in Evergreen and in good standing (No overdue items or pending charges). or<\/li>\n

Books will only be held for seven days for pickup. Materials that are not picked up within seven days will be returned to the shelves or lending Library.<\/p>\n
