Blackboard is a user-friendly portal that allows you to navigate through online course materials, send emails, chat with the instructor and other students in the class, use discussion forums, and link to online resources. One student login will access all of the internet or hybrid courses in which you are registered for each semester.
Course specific questions (such as those about assignments, tests, grades, and course content) should be directed to the instructor only. For technical assistance, browse the Blackboard-related articles in ITS Answers or contact Faith Jelley (email@example.com, 704-216-3944)
Viewing Syllabus in Blackboard
The syllabus for each class is now provided electronically in Blackboard, the application used to create/provide online sites for on-campus as well as distance classes. To view the syllabus for your class(es), you will need to login to Blackboard and access the class site. All classes are Web-Enhanced, meaning that there is a Blackboard site created for the class to use.
See the attached instructions on how to login to Blackboard and access a class syllabus. This information can also be found on the Blackboard login page, http://rccc.blackboard.com.
If you need assistance and you are on one of the College’s campuses, please visit the Learning Resource Center (Library). The staff within the student computer lab can assist you. Go to http://libguides.rccc.edu/services to view a list of campus locations and hours of operation.
