Financial Aid Appeal Procedure

Students terminated from financial aid assistance due to unsatisfactory standing may appeal if they have extenuating circumstances (medical or personal problems). To appeal, the student must complete and return the Satisfactory Academic Progress Form and supporting documentation to the FAO. Prior to submitting an appeal, students must complete the warning workshop via Blackboard and pass the quiz with a grade of 85 or higher. Designated financial aid staff reviews the written appeal and supporting documentation and makes the initial determination. The student will be officially notified by email. All aid remains cancelled until the student receives notification that the appeal was approved for the next period of enrollment. The financial aid staff will not process summer appeals. Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis.
