Financial Aid Appeals Procedure

Students terminated from financial aid assistance due to unsatisfactory standing may appeal if there are extenuating circumstances (medical or personal problems). To appeal, the student must complete and return the Appeal Form, Financial Aid Student Academic Plan form , and supporting documentation to the FAO. Students must submit these documents seven days prior to classes beginning. Prior to submitting an appeal, students must complete the warning workshop via Blackboard. Designated financial aid staff reviews the written appeal and supporting documentation and makes the initial determination. The student will be officially notified by mail or email.  All aid remains cancelled until the student receives notification that the appeal was approved for the next period of enrollment. The financial aid staff will not process summer appeals. Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis.
