What type of scholarship is this?
This competitive scholarship is designed to provide assistance to individuals requiring a career-related certification. Scholarship awards are given for short-term training that coincides with an applicants identified career goal. The scholarship program partnered with RCCC’s R3 Career Services to help awardees successfully complete training and return to the workforce with a new skill set.
Who is qualified to receive the scholarship?
Candidates who complete the application process and have a career goal that matches the training requested for a scholarship award. This match is verified in Section C.
Who is not qualified to receive the scholarship?
Candidates requesting this scholarship who do not plan to immediately obtain employment that matches the training requested.
For example: A student needing to complete a Nurse Aide I requirement for a nursing program is not a candidate for the scholarship, unless they complete Section C of the application stating they plan to become employed as a Nurse Aide.
How do I apply?
You may submit your completed application packet by selecting one of the following options:

Application needs to be submitted no later than 10 days prior to the class start date.
When will I know if I am selected to receive the scholarship?
Applications are reviewed by the Scholarship Committee every Wednesday. Award recipients will be notified within 7 days of application receipt. Those not awarded will receive a letter.
Please note: A maximum of two scholarships are awarded per class.
Applicants with incomplete applications and/or those who need assistance with Section C of the application will be scheduled for an additional individual meeting with a career coach in order to keep an active application.
