Floor was open for questions. Senior Advisor Lipscomb did a brief overview of budget, including new line items.
New Business:
Election of Remaining Officers
- Officer nominations and elections- There are two SGA Executive Board positions open—Secretary/Treasurer, Public Information Officer- North.
- Tereysha Robles, President introduced Erica Lettice as a candidate for the Secretary/Treasurer and Bobby Ingram as candidate for the North Campus Public Information Officer. Erica and Bobby made short speeches and then left the meeting room in order to allow the meeting participants to vote.
- Results of voting- Erica Lettice- 26 votes in favor, 0 against, and 1 abstention. Bobby Ingram- 27 votes in favor, 0 against, and 0 abstentions. Erica and Bobby were congratulated.
POW MIA flag proposal ($250.00 each)
- The purchase of two POW/MIA flags to be used at campus events when it is appropriate to display the remembrance flag. Cost includes 2-3×5′ double-sided indoor flag, 2-8′ indoor poles with pole top ornament. Motion was made by Carlos Diaz and seconded by Daphne Moore. The motion passed and will be taken to the General Business Meeting on October 6, 2015.
2015 Golf Classic Sponsorship ($500)
- Sponsorship for a beverage cart that the students will be driving around during the event. Motion was made by Charles White and seconded by Erica Lettice. Motion passed and will be taken to the General Business Meeting on October 6, 2015.
