Kayona Obregon, from SGA Secretary/Treasurer Rowan Cabarrus Community College, made a motion that stated “That the Club Charter renewal forms for the 2017-2018” school year be approved on November 7, 2017.” Motion Passed
Xcaret Cruz Ramirez, from SGA Public Information Officer (North) Rowan Cabarrus Community College, made a motion that stated “That Student Government Association, cover the unclaimed dove for the branches of hope event. Ending on November 17th, 2017. The amount shell not exceed $600 dollars.” Motion Passed

Club Reports:

AHR Chiller – Chillers Club Executive Committee met on Wednesday, 03, October for their monthly meeting which addressed lottery events, student meetings, fundraisers, charter paperwork, club constitution, and additional upcoming events significant to AHR Program and ASHRAE Student Chapter. Chillers Club student meetings were held during the week of Monday, 16 October through Saturday, 21 October. Students voted on various items such as: (a) voted and approved the Executive Committee Positions of Club Secretary to Kenya Montgomery and Club Treasurer to Tyler Nurse to take effect immediately. Chillers Club worked Fall Festival on Saturday, 14 October, at North. Students attended and participated in October ASHRAE Student Chapter meeting which was the Construction Technologies Group Internship Fair held on Wednesday, 18 October. Had a great turn out and all enjoyed the Fair. Encouraged student participation and volunteering and making suggestions.

Art Club – Absent- No report

CKEC (Cabarrus/Kannapolis Early College) – We completed our Day of Caring and it was a success. Right now we are preparing to have our second day of caring which will be for our junior class. That will be held on November 9th. We are also coming towards the end of our Hunger Drive Event. The next thing that we will be planning is our work with victory junction. That will be taking place in the spring.

Cosmetology – Attended lottery event for spring semester and picked events. Completed our four campus fundraiser. The haunting of West Ave and it was a success. Had our first Alumni Symposium Speaker on November 2. Travel destinations for spring are still being discussed.

Criminal Justice Association- Absent- No report

L.I.F.T. – L.I.F.T had a meeting on Friday November 3rd. They discussed on what they should do for their community. L.I.F.T is discussing about a team trip to a homeless shelter and orphanage and give out art to the children for Christmas. L.I.F.T is also thinking of making an event for Christmas. L.I.F.T is also having a booth that will be set up with prayer offering and L.I.F.T books to hand out. This will be L.I.F.T campus service project.

M.I.S.T.E.R. – The MISTER Club will be volunteering with community in schools at Isenberg School. M.I.S.T.E.R club will also be hosting an interview workshop during the month of November.

Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) – PBL had a food drive on November 5th through 18th that was partnered with Food Lion was cancelled. We are going to have a poinsettia sale and PBL is selling Yankee Candles. PBL Poinsettia sale will be confirmed on Wednesday November 8, 2017. PBL food drive has been rescheduled for spring 2018.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) – PTK hosted a Veterans Day breakfast on Monday November, 6th. PTK is now preparing for the induction on the 7th. PTK is excited for the Christmas project we are about begin.

Prism- Prism is focusing on their community and campus service project. Prism will be discussing in there next executive meeting about the campus service project. Which is the “Save your money, Save your wallet” Workshop we are having on South Campus.

Radiography- Radiography voted on changing ½ of their community project. Radiography also planned to volunteer at the Price of Freedom museum, but they were closed for renovations. However, Radiography decided to do a drive for child abuse in the Rowan County. Radiography voted to collect: t-shirts, coats, blankets and etc. Motion passed.

RCEC – The RCEC club officially launched the RCEC SGA Scholarship late October along with the launch of the RCEC Scholarship, the release of our new website was announced. This allows for our club to further communicate events and information to all our members. For the month of October our club sold Halloween grams to Rowan County Early College students. Halloween grams consisted of 5 pieces of candies per bag and were delivered to those who bought them. The club voted for a new club shirt, we are currently looking at quotes from businesses. RCEC is also looking to host a dance event on December 8th.

Skills USA – Automotive/Skill USA is changing their name to Skills USA. Skill USA plans on having activities for their active members. Skill USA also had a canned food drive as there community event. Skills USA also did a Car Care Clinic as there campus event, also started up an active member’s committee within the committee.

Student Nursing Association (SNA) –No report

Veterans Club – Absent – No report

Welding – Welding went to the Student Day at Praxair. Welding learned and saw a lot of new technology that has a lot to offer them in the future. Welding decided to not do the Thanksgiving meal because they won’t have enough time or people for the event.

W.O.W –W.O.W had a meeting on October 25, 2017. W.O.W discussed on their service campus project which still has to be determined. The service campus project will be to connect with the wellness center to help out.
