Club Reports:

AHR Chillers – (1) Chillers Club Executive Committee met on Wednesday, 6 December for our monthly meeting, which addressed our end-of-semester activities and preview of Spring semester events. (2) Chillers Club student meeting were held during the week of Thursday, 7 December through Wednesday, 13 December. No new proposals were discussed. No December Lottery events were scheduled for the Chillers Club. (3) Chillers Club Executive Committee members and their families as well as the faculty and staff and families of the AHR Program attended our yearly Christmas Dinner at Shane’s Rib Shack in Concord. We had a great time with good food and a Dirty Santa gift exchange. Shane’s provided all those in attendance gift cards and savings certificates. (4) Encouraged student participation and volunteering and making suggestions.

Art Club – Absent- No report

CKEC (Cabarrus/Kannapolis Early College) – Absent- No report

Cosmetology – The Cosmetology club is setting up new meeting days. The Cosmetology club is electing a Secretary, Public Relations, and Treasurer.

L.I.F.T. – Absent- No report

M.I.S.T.E.R. – The M.I.S.T.E.R Club has started volunteering at Isenberg Elementary and has received training though communities on school. We will continue this work throughout this following spring semester. We also registered to volunteer with Habitat for Humanities.

Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) – PBL is getting ready for a food drive and kick-off meeting. The food drive will start at the end in January.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) – PTK is excited about all their events we have planned for this semester. Not only did we vote in some new officers but, we also used new ideas about events that benefit their community and school. Some of the new events that PTK included were: reading to children at the Jeff Gordons Children’s Hospital, lemonade, and cookies for students around exam week, Spring induction, Relay for Life, and traveling.

Prism- The Prism Club is working on their next club meeting. Where they discussed goal setting for the year of 2018. The Prism club is also focusing on more community projects this year and networking with students.

Radiography- The Radiography club made a vote to go to Kettering seminar in April for registry review.

RCEC – The RCEC club discussed and planned multiple events in the month of January. RCEC’s priority is to find a new DJ to move forward with our dance. RCEC has also started to plan for their annual Field Day. Other activities RCEC are in process of are finishing orders of their spirit gear.

SkillsUSA – Nothing to report, No meeting

Student Nursing Association (SNA) – Absent – No report

Veterans Club – Absent- No report

Welding – The Welding club will be attending Skills USA and the AWS Competition for 2018 school year.

W.O.W. – The W.O.W. club will be deciding on their upcoming charity event and their campus project. The W.O.W. club will be discussing that on Friday January 26, 2018. The W.O.W. club also discussed about doing their lottery event at Rowan Helping Ministries.
