Annual Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Friends and Family Golf Tournament
The tournament proceeds of the last 21 years have provided scholarships totaling over $50,000 for 33 students to continue their education. We have been able to award annual scholarships ranging from $1000 to $2000 for students with academic promise, community service initiative, and financial need. Many of the recipients were first-generation adult college students who live and work in our communities.
Players in this tournament have come from every corner of the community. While it started as an Rowan-Cabarrus employee event, the tournament has grown to include alumni, current students, retirees, former employees, community members and business leaders. It is a fun day with a great mission – advancing opportunity for our students and future leaders in the community.
