Personal Enrichment
The Personal Enrichment program offers short-term courses for self-improvement, cultural enrichment, and academic achievement to individuals 18 years of age and older. It is intended to meet the growing needs and interests of the community, and we welcome you to participate in any courses of interest.
The purpose of this program is to give individuals a chance to pursue special interests and to fill their leisure time with worthwhile educational projects. Enrich your life with classes through Rowan-Cabarrus!
After a long day sitting at your office or classroom desk, we know you’ll want to experiment with foreign language instruction, motorcycle riding and numerous other opportunities that promise excitement, new skills and friendships.
American Sign Language I
This course introduces the fundamental elements of American Sign Language within a cultural context. Emphasis is placed on the development of basic expressive and receptive skills. Upon completion, students will be able to comprehend and respond with grammatical accuracy to expressive American Sign Language and demonstrate cultural awareness.

Conversational Spanish
Join us as we explore basic vocabulary, common phrases, and practical expressions used in everyday situations, including work, travel, dining, and shopping. Participants will have fun while learning about Spanish culture, building confidence in speaking and listening, and using Spanish for self-expression throughout the course. Whether beginning or continuing their Spanish journey, participants will develop practical conversational skills in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.

- $70 Registration Fee
- Advanced registration is required. Registration closes two days before class begins.
Computer Classes
Corporate and continuing education offers computer courses from introductory through advanced levels.
- Update your skill set, or help yourself to be more efficient!
- New classes are added frequently!
- Basic keyboarding (typing) skills are required for these computer classes.
