Skills Enhancement Course
Co-sponsored by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and the NC Motorcycle Safety Education Program, this course is designed for riders who have a permit or motorcycle license and possess basic skills. The goal of this course is to help you further refine your motorcycle handling skills and grow your confidence in your riding ability.
Ideal participants are current riders that looking for a refresher course to practice and renew their riding skills or past BRC & BRC2 license waiver graduates looking to gain additional hands-on experience and refine their riding skills.
The course consists of only riding exercises, utilizing several of the drills from the Basic RiderCourse and Basic RiderCourse2 curriculums. It is a perfect way for you to reinforce basic skills on your own motorcycle.
Course takes part of a day and is taken on your own motorcycle.
If you normally carry a passenger and have a motorcycle endorsement (not permit), then this course also allows you to complete the exercises with a passenger onboard. The passenger can ride with their driver in certain (not all) exercises. Passengers will be required to register for the class for insurance purposes and are subject to the same age requirements.
Individuals interested in attending a BRC 2 must be at least 16 years of age. Students under the age of 18 must have the Motorcycle Safety Foundation Waiver of Liability signed by a parent or guardian. This form must be signed In Person on the first day of class. If the parent/guardian is unable to accompany the minor on the first day of class, please contact Tabitha Harrison at 704-216-3545 or tabitha.harrison@rccc.edu for instructions on having the form notarized. The minor will not be allowed to participate in the class without this important signature.
