Office of Accessibility
Welcome to the Office of Accessibility
At the Office of Accessibility, we’re here to support students with disabilities in achieving their academic and career goals. Our mission is to help make Rowan-Cabarrus Community College a welcoming and accessible place for everyone. We work in line with the laws that protect students, including the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
We provide reasonable accommodations to help minimize the impact of a disability on classroom performance, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed. Our goal is to make adjustments that allow you to fully participate in your courses, as long as they don’t change the core requirements of the class. The accommodations we offer are based on your unique needs and the documentation you provide. We’re here to help you thrive!
Mission
It is the mission of the Office of Accessibility for students with disabilities to have equal access to learning at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. Believing that students with disabilities can better advocate for their own needs with greater success, we strive to empower students at every step.
