The General Update (GENUP) course (formally known as Mandatory Update) is developed by the NC Real Estate Commission each year.
General Update course subject matter is:

• Section 1:   Material Fact Issues
• Section 2:   Contract Issues
• Section 3:   Agency Issues
• Section 4:   Unlicensed Activity
• Section 5:   License Law and Rule Updates
• Section 6:  Licensing and Education Review

Registration Details

• Online registration and payment is available.
  1. Go to WebAdvisor.
  2. Select “Continuing Education”
  3. Select “Search, Register and Pay for Continuing Education Classes.”
  4. To search for your class, type “GENERAL” as a Key Word.
  5. Check the box to select the class for which you wish to register and hit “Submit.”
  6. Enter your information and follow instructions to register and pay.
