Introduction to Security Fundamentals

This course provides an overview of the evolving field of cybersecurity, with an introduction to cybersecurity standards and law. Topics may include common cyberattacks, identifying threats, the response to these problems and basic principles of security and defending against cyber threats. Upon completion, students should be prepared to sit for the Microsoft Technology Associate exam in Security Fundamentals.
- This is a hybrid course that will meet Tuesdays & Thursdays beginning January 28 through March 3, 2020.
- Tuesday classes will meet at the North Campus in room 4126. All Thursdays classes will meet online.

Registration Details
- Online registration and payment is available.
- Navigate to WebAdvisor.
- Select “Continuing Education” (If you have been a student at RCCC previously, click at the top of the page where indicated to update your current information).
- Select “Search, Register and Pay for Continuing Education Classes.”
- To search for your class, type “SECURITY” as a Key Word.
- Check the box to select the class and select “Submit.”
- Enter your information and follow instructions to register and pay.
