EXPERIENCED RIDER SKILLS PRACTICE COURSE
- April 22, 2023
- South Campus, Building S203, Room 223
- 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Course Description: Basic Rider Course 2 Skills Practice is an excellent refresher course for practicing and renewing riding skills. It consists of only riding exercises and does not include the three-hour eCourse. It is a perfect way for you to reinforce basic skills on your own motorcycle. If you carry a passenger, you may take the BRC2 SP with your passenger on board, however you must meet current licensing requirements to carry a passenger on the course.
Individuals interested in attending a BRC 2 must be at least 16 years of age. Students under the age of 18 must have the Motorcycle Safety Foundation Waiver of Liability signed by a parent or guardian. This form must be signed IN PERSON on the first day of class. If the parent/guardian is unable to accompany the minor on the first day of class, please contact Tabitha Harrison at 704-216-3545 or tabitha.harrison@rccc.edu for instructions on having the form notarized. The minor WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to participate in the class without this important signature.
Requirements:
We strongly recommend this course to anybody who has been riding for a little while. It is a great way to learn more about your riding abilities and the capabilities of your motorcycle. Students interested in attending a BRC2:
- must possess a valid motorcycle permit or motorcycle endorsement on their license.
- Recommended to have at least 6 months riding experience or 3,000 miles under your belt.
- must provide a street legal, properly licensed motorcycle for the range exercises and must show proof of insurance.
- motorcycle must also pass a visual safety inspection on the morning of the class.
If you are not the registered owner of the motorcycle you are using, then you must provide a Notarized Authorization of Use from the Registered Owner. (3-Wheeled Motorcycles are not permitted)
