Conversational Spanish 1

Join us as we explore basic Spanish vocabulary, common phrases and practical expressions used in everyday situations including work, travel, eating, and shopping. This 8-week Spanish language course is designed for students who would like to learn conversational Spanish starting with Spanish basics. You will practice all four language skills: reading comprehension, writing, listening comprehension and speaking. The focus will be on learning to comprehend and speak in basic Spanish.

You will be encouraged to utilize your Spanish-speaking skills as you interact with your instructor and fellow students using appropriate greetings and guided conversations on familiar topics. You will have fun and learn a bit of Spanish culture too!

Class information:

• This course will meet in person from 6:30-9:00pm on alternating weeks on Aug 30, Sept 13, Sept 27 & Oct 18. On alternating weeks, class meets online from 6:00-7:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays on Sept 6, 8, 20, 22, Oct 4, 6, 11 & 13  via Microsoft Teams.

  1. Navigate to WebAdvisor
  2. Select WebAdvisor Guest Access.
  3. Select “Continuing Education” on the right.
     (If you have been a student at RCCC previously, click at the top of the page where indicated to update your current information).
  4. Select “Search, Register and Pay for Continuing Education Classes.”
  5. To search for your class, type “SPANISH” as a Key Word.
  6. Check the box to select the class and select “Submit.”
  7. Enter your information and follow instructions to register and pay.
