Club Reports:

AHR Chiller

Senator attended the Summer Senate Day on Wednesday, June 22
Chillers Club Executive Committee met on Wednesday ,10 August for their initial organizational monthly meeting which addressed lottery events, student meetings, fundraisers, charter paperwork, club constitution, swearing in of members and additional upcoming events significant to AHR Program and ASHRAE Student Chapter.
Chillers Club completed one August Fall Lottery event. Chillers Club provided 5 student volunteers for the Welcome Back Event at South Campus on Tuesday, August 16 from 9:30am-11:30am. Chillers split this event with Cosmetology Club. Cosmetology student volunteers worked same event from 11:30a, -11:30pm.
Chillers Club student meetings were held during the week of Saturday, 20 August through Thursday, 25 August. Students voted on various items such as: (a) voting to spend up to $200 for providing 10 students memberships to join ASHRAE; (b) NavSync training conducted by Club Senator, Larry Newcomb; (c)students approved of opening a club to CMT and ELC students beginning 2017-18 academic year and possibly renaming club to reflect such change .discussed annual food events such as 3rd annual CBTC Chili Cook off and providing prizes for student winners(which will be voted on during Sept meetings), and upcoming 12th annual AHR Program Thanksgiving Meals; an additional idea; Explained how the club works in related to SkillsUSA participation, ASHRAE student chapter membership, and how this club is for and about the students. Also on what they want to make of it. Encouraging students to participate, volunteer, and make suggestions.

Automotive/Skills USA

In our last meeting we talked about what the club is about, and how we are going to save money. Determine and vote on office positions. As well as inform our members for the people who were not at the meeting.

CKEC (Cabarrus/Kannapolis Early College)

Our club is working on finalizing our budget for the year. We are also working on amending our constitution. Our comities are working on preparing for our fall festival. Also fundraiser for our student hunger drive.

Cosmetology

No Report.

Dental Assisting

At our first meeting we talked about a Zumba activity with a dental info booth. Which would be our community and student project. Together we also talked about a pancake breakfast for the spring semester. Going to finalize the dates on 9/9/2016 for the Zumba booth.

Early Childhood

Had first meeting with Shemeda Coats, Kelly, and Jennifer Rosalin. We planned future meetings talked service projects. How to get more members? As well as voting on officers.

L.I.F.T.

LIFT is currently meeting two times a week. Wednesday and Friday 9/9/16. We will be discussing our activities we will be doing. Right now we are forming a board. We’ve grown from three members to five. In just two meetings rapidly growing and planning to expand much more. We also are in the process of voting for a leadership position due to graduating leaders.

M.I.S.T.E.R.

Will host meetings on the 2nd Tuesday and Thursday of each month on North Campus and South Campus. North Room 215A and South building 1000 Room 106. We will be hosting a round table discussion on male issues. In terms of the community on September 27th and 29th this month. Honors in Action #3 (Rights& Responsibilities) Coal Ash Spill/ Water Conditions. College Projects: Catawba Center for environment, Cat and Dog food driver (November-December 16) for “PURRrrfect Purrbalai & Bishop Legacy”. Also Pawn County Animal Shelter, Carolina Regional Project: Hygiene Supply Donation for “Bags for Batteral Woman’s Shelter.” Leadership Conference: Lexington, NC Davidson College.

Phi Beta Lambda (PBL)

In the month of June PBL went to National Competition in Atlanta and while at nationals PBL was able to place very well in events. In the month of August, we recruited new members from both campuses. We also attended College Night out event: the event was a success have been very busy working together to plan our first meeting. We will have September 13th, 2016

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK)

Fall Festival Saturday October 15,2016 9:30AM-2:30PM. Voting Election Activity Form Thursday Oct.27th 8:30am-1:00pm. Blood Drive Wednesday, November 9th,2016 9:30-1:00pm

Racing Club

Radiography

Radiography club is a private club for pre-RAD, current RAD, and alumni of the program. Events we are participating in include: United Way Day of caring (September), Fall Festival (October), Health Articles (December)
Our projects we are working on are going to focus on raising awareness for breast cancer, this project will be completed in October. Our community project is going to help homeless veterans. Within our community by giving them backpacks filled with helpful items, this project will be completed in November. I am looking for different fundraising ideas to help collect items needed for our community Project and will complete the form soon. Future Meeting 9/6/2016

RCEC

SGA College Night out, preparing for school dance, Spirit gear prep, fundraiser, elected new senator. We have been busy working on 2016-17 school year events. We are currently planning our first school dance for this year. Theme is “Welcome to the Jungle. “We have already participated into the college night. We are also doing fundraisers to raise money for school events. Such as: Ice Cream Social, Teacher appreciation, spirit gear, and more. We finished passing out application for new senator position.

Rotaract

We will be meeting the first time on September 15th,2016 @ 1:00pm in Worth Student Center. We will elect officers and discuss service projects for the year.
