I have been meeting with my SGA advisor regularly to talk about the motions that have been passed, as well as finalizing the details for the Krispy Kreme fundraiser this month.

The college continues to evaluate and update the College’s COVID-19 Response and adjust where needed to meet the needs of students, faculty, and staff. The college has been awarded additional funds to help through the COVID-19 expiring December 31, 2021. Funding allows the College to focus on areas to help students with student aid and distance learning, personal protective equipment, screening, and equipment.
The college continues to move forward with the campus construction initiatives including the Fire Training grounds, Outdoor Learning Center Project Phase II, and the North campus teaching auditorium.
The College has allocated state funds primarily for the Advanced Technology Center equipment. The College will consider another phase of equipment funding when we know more about the state 2021-2022 budget plans.

Cab-Tech Early College
In February, we reconfigured our committees to work more efficiently in a remote environment and beyond. Student Engagement focused primarily on our Alumni Homecoming event that was held on Friday, February 19th: 16 ECHS alumni from the classes of 2015-2020 participated in a panel discussion with the student body before heading to breakout rooms to talk about their majors and schools in small groups. Communications began to focus on how to join forces with our Student News Club to get a bi-weekly broadcast off the ground, and Outreach is brainstorming service events to meet the needs of our school community and community at large as well as a homeroom representative system.

PTK
This month, PTK is working on beginning spring recruitment for new members. We are excited to start planning our virtual spring induction ceremony and welcoming a new team of officers for the 2021-2022 academic year. We are also beginning the process of setting up the spring service project. We successfully completed our fall service project in December, delivering goodies to the residents of an assisted living facility in Lake Norman. We’re excited to see where this semester takes us!

SNA
This month, the executive board met to make decisions and plans. We decided on meeting dates and had our first club meeting. At the meeting, we introduced new officers. We voted on using four $25 gift cards to give away at each SNA meeting. We have an upcoming event that two members are attending. We are coming up with T-shirt designs for our fundraising T-shirts. We have been posting NCLEX questions every Tuesday to have more people involved on our Facebook page. We are also brainstorming volunteer ideas that club can carry out.
