Course Description: Court Room Testimony and Case Preparation is a course designed to prepare law enforcement officers for the critical responsibilities of presenting evidence and delivering professional testimony in court. Participants will learn how to effectively organize case files, write clear and accurate reports, and develop strategies for case preparation that strengthen credibility and support successful prosecution. The course emphasizes courtroom demeanor, communication skills, and techniques to handle cross-examination with confidence. By the end of this training, officers will be better equipped to present themselves as reliable, well-prepared witnesses who contribute to fair and effective judicial outcomes.

Instructor Bio: Timothy Quigley, Special Agent, FBI (retired), currently a Professor at Coastal Carolina University, has interviewed, investigated and prosecuted numerous individuals who violated such federal crimes as Money Laundering, Securities Fraud, Mortgage Fraud, Advanced Title III Drug Cases, and other federal violations. As a Hostage/Crisis Negotiator and certified instructor, Tim has organized and facilitated the FBI’s 40 Hour Crisis Negotiation Course, been involved in national and international kidnappings, and has deployed with the Horry County Crisis Negotiation Team and the Myrtle Beach Police Crisis Negotiation Team. Tim’s education includes a B.S. in Accounting, a M.S. in Forensic Accounting, and a Ph.D. in Forensic Psychology.
