Due to the inclement weather we have experienced, the College will open at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017. Classes that are in process or end prior to 1 p.m. are canceled tomorrow. Faculty and staff should report at 12 p.m.
However, please be safe and use your best judgment. If you feel weather conditions are too severe to travel, please stay home. And, please exercise caution on campus and utilize the pathways that have been cleared to each building.
Given the College closings for inclement weather, please note that the registration period for dropping and adding classes has been extended to Thursday, January 12, 2017, at 6 p.m. Tuition and fees for classes added is due by 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 12 as well.
With Tuesday now being the first day of spring classes, please be sure to monitor your Rowan-Cabarrus email account. Your College email account is used to notify you of class cancellations, in addition to providing essential communication between you and your instructors. It is also imperative that you check your WebAdvisor account which provides you with your personalized spring schedule, in addition to all of your classroom assignments and class meeting dates.
In the event of a delay or closing due to weather or some kind of an emergency, we need to be able to get in touch with you. In order to ensure you receive these important alerts, please make sure your personal contact information is up-to-date in WebAdvisor under the “Address and Weather/Emergency Alert Phone Contact Change Request” section. You’ll want to include your mobile number and check the “SMS Text” box so that you can receive text alerts, which are the quickest way for us to get in touch. You can also check the website at www.rccc.edu for updates or additional closings.
Thank you, be safe, and have a wonderful spring semester!
