Reports

President’s Report- Eva Nichols

I was invited to attend to attend the Board meeting in May, where I was introduced to the Board of Directors by our previous SGA President Lina Walker.

The first week of June, Xcaret Cruz-Ramirez and I had the honor of representing Rowan-Cabarrus at the Student Leadership Program at William Peace University in Raleigh. It was a 6-day
mental boot camp that tested us to our limits, lead us on team building activities, and placed us with students from other colleges to complete a workshop project by the end of the
week. It was the most intense week for the both of us, but I would do it all over again, if given the chance.

Dr. Spalding announced at convocation that we have finalized the purchase of the property across the street from South Campus, which will double it in size. The property will be used
to construct new and bigger classrooms and offices and will help accommodate the growing population on our Cabarrus County Campus.

The south campus student center has undergone a transformation! Stop by and see the newly expanded space.

Perkins Services is the new food vendor on both north and south campus and they are open for business! Food plans are available: if you have financial aid available, please see a
financial aid representative to have a plan created to be used at either location.

The Beacon’s Nest spirit store has opened on South Campus. Selling economically priced snacks, coffee, and spirit wear. (add what you would like)

The north campus spirit store will be open by August 31.
