SALISBURY, N.C. – Rowan-Cabarrus Community College will host Super Saturday, a one-stop enrollment event on Saturday, August 16, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the College’s North Campus in Salisbury and South Campus in Concord. The event is open to both new and returning students and is designed to make it easier than ever to prepare for the fall semester.

The College’s Student Services team will be available to assist students with course registration, financial aid questions and academic advising. New students can also complete on-campus orientation to get familiar with College resources, policies and tools to support their success.

“Super Saturday is designed to eliminate barriers before the first days of class and help students take the next step toward their goals,” said Rowan-Cabarrus President Dr. Carol S. Spalding. “We know students are juggling a lot, and our goal is to make the enrollment process as smooth and welcoming as possible.”

Eligible students can also take advantage of the Next NC Scholarship, which covers tuition and fees for qualifying North Carolina residents with household incomes of $80,000 or less.

Financial aid staff will be available during Super Saturday to help students complete the FAFSA and determine eligibility.

“Sometimes the most important step is simply walking through the door, and for working learners, that may need to happen on a Saturday,” said Vice President of Student Success Services Dr. Natasha Lipscomb. “Super Saturday is about meeting students where they are, and we’ll be here, ready to listen, answer questions and help students see what’s possible.”

Rowan-Cabarrus currently offers 46 degrees, 33 diplomas and 121 certificates, including more than 15 degrees, 10 diplomas and 30 certificates that can be fully completed online. Students can build a schedule that works for them with in-person, hybrid and online options, as well as flexible formats like 8-week sessions and evening classes. Combined with affordable tuition, smaller classes and expert faculty, students can create a learning plan that fits their schedule and their goals.

Fall classes begin Monday, August 18, for the 16-week and first 8-week sessions, September 2 for the 14-week session, and October 20 for the second 8-week session. Students who are unable to attend Super Saturday can also receive help in person Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Super Saturday is free and open to all students planning to attend Rowan-Cabarrus for the fall semester. No appointment is necessary. For more information, visit www.rccc.edu or contact the College’s Navigation Station at 704-216-7222.
