“Our students are proving they can compete and succeed alongside the best in the state and beyond,” said Rowan-Cabarrus President Dr. Carol S. Spalding. “That speaks volumes about their preparation and their potential. We look forward to seeing them carry that momentum into the national stage and their future careers.”

These accomplishments reflect the wide range of programs represented at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and highlight the College’s commitment to providing students with hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for success in their chosen fields. Through opportunities like SkillsUSA, students are able to apply what they have learned in the classroom in competitive, real-world environments. These experiences help build confidence, strengthen technical abilities and reinforce the professional skills needed to succeed in today’s workforce.

“Our students are not only developing technical skills, but they are also learning how to perform under pressure and represent their programs at a high level,” said Vice President of Academic Programs Dr. Michael Quillen. “Experiences like this help prepare them for what comes next, whether that is entering the workforce or continuing their education.

The College’s SkillsUSA chapter continues to play an important role in connecting students with opportunities that extend beyond the classroom. By participating in SkillsUSA, students gain exposure to industry standards, build professional networks and experience the expectations of their chosen fields firsthand.
