South Campus Parking Lot Closure

The South Campus and CBTC parking lot resurfacing work is underway and being completed on an accelerated, phased schedule to minimize overall disruption.

S201 North Parking Lot and Entrance Road Repaving

Construction is near completion, with the parking areas paved and stripping in progress.

During this final phase:

  • Access to the S202 parking lot from the central entrance will be closed.

  • All parking areas are open for use.

CBTC Update:

  • Parking lot pavement will be completed this week (July 16-17).

Parking Lots A and B Construction

Update – July 16, 2026

Construction activities remain active and continue to impact traffic flow on North Campus. Campus is still accessible from both Jake Alexander Boulevard (north) and Old Concord Road (east). However, traffic remains directional. Vehicles cannot pass between Buildings N107 and N110 during this phase.

Please continue to follow posted signage and allow additional travel time when navigating campus.

Service Access Road Temporarily Reopened (Buildings N102 & N105):  

  • This route will be open; vehicles will be able to access or pass through for deliveries.

  • The roadway is not paved. The repaving date will be published when established. 

During this opening:

  • All service and delivery traffic for N102 and N105 can use the access road, and overflow be redirected to the N103 parking lot, with designated delivery spaces provided

  • Traffic patterns across campus will remain directional due to active work zones

  • Vehicles cannot pass between Buildings N107 and N110 – please plan alternate routes

The planned water shutdown associated with water line relocation work has been rescheduled and a new date will be shared once finalized.

All campus users are encouraged to follow posted signage, use caution when navigating construction areas, and allow additional travel time.

Construction activities continue to impact traffic flow throughout North Campus.

Campus Access and Open Areas During Closure

Access from Jake Alexander Boulevard (North Entrance):

Entering campus from Jake Alexander Boulevard, the following areas remain accessible:

  • Buildings N101, N102, N103, N105, N106 and the Amphitheatre
  • Parking Lot A
  • Parking Lot B (upper areas)
  • Service Area
  • Building N107
Access from Old Concord Road (East Side Entrance):

Entering campus from Old Concord Road, the following areas remain accessible:

  • Building N110
  • Early College
  • Fire Training Center facilities
  • Southern and eastern campus areas, including facilities near Buildings N114, N115 and N130
Delivery Access for N102 and N105 (via Rowan Tech Road):

During the service road closure, all deliveries intended for Buildings N102 and N105 must enter campus via Rowan Tech Road (North Entrance) and utilize the N103 parking lot.

Designated delivery spaces will be clearly marked within this area to accommodate service vehicles and maintain operations during construction.
