Here’s My Story is a project facilitated by the Art + Design Department at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, and funded in part by the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation. Benches, placed in public locations, serve as a platform for gathering, connecting, and listening. Here’s My Story aims to foster a climate where equity and mutual respect are intrinsic by sharing the stories* of those local citizens who have been historically marginalized.
Here’s My Story is a living project and stories will rotate periodically. If you have been historically marginalized and have a connection to Rowan County, North Carolina, we would love to hear from you! To share your story, or to learn more about this project please contact the Art + Design Department at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College by emailing heresmystory@rccc.edu.
