About Occupational Therapy Assistant Program

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Program matriculated the first cohort in Fall 2017, and accepts 20 students each fall through a competitive admissions process.

After the inaugural cohort graduates in 2019, program results from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) can be found on their website.

Mission Statement

The Rowan-Cabarrus OTA program develops competent and professional entry-level occupational therapy assistants who provide quality collaborative care and positively impact lives within the community.

Vision Statement

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College’s Occupational Therapy Assistant graduates will be highly skilled, preferred, and well-equipped to enter the workforce.

Faculty

The OTA program faculty, comprised of licensed occupational therapy assistants and occupational therapists, have a wide variety of clinical and academic experience and represent a broad scope of occupational therapy practice settings.
