Advanced Crisis Negotiation: SOP, Training Concepts, and Leadership

Course Description: This 2-Day Advanced Crisis Negotiation Course (SOPs, Training Concepts, and Leadership) is a rigorous program designed for senior negotiators, incident commanders, and security leaders to elevate strategic response under high-stakes conditions. Over two immersive days, participants will refine SOPs for risk assessment, command-and-control integration, and de-escalation protocols, while mastering advanced decision-making frameworks, lawful and ethical considerations, and thorough after-action review processes. The curriculum blends cognitive and behavioral training concepts, leadership and team dynamics, and scenario-based exercises that emphasize structured communication, resource allocation, and outcome-focused resolutions, enabling attendees to lead complex negotiations with greater precision, resilience, and influence.

Instructor Bio: Timothy Quigley, Special Agent, FBI (retired), currently a Professor at Coastal Carolina University, has interviewed, investigated and prosecuted numerous individuals who violated such federal crimes as Money Laundering, Securities Fraud, Mortgage Fraud, Advanced Title III Drug Cases, and other federal violations. As a Hostage/Crisis Negotiator and certified instructor, Tim has organized and facilitated the FBI’s 40 Hour Crisis Negotiation Course, been involved in national and international kidnappings, and has deployed with the Horry County Crisis Negotiation Team and the Myrtle Beach Police Crisis Negotiation Team. Tim’s education includes a B.S. in Accounting, a M.S. in Forensic Accounting, and a Ph.D. in Forensic Psychology.
