Drone Search and Rescue

Course Description: In this two-day, 16-hour course, students will learn crucial components of executing successful, drone/UAS search and rescue missions in various environments and participate in practical scenarios. The class will cover common UAS SAR procedures, search methods, helpful software, nighttime operations, and other SAR tactics. Students are encouraged to bring a personal or agency-issued drone to maximize flight time. A Part 107 certificate is required to participate in flight. Meeting time on day two of this class will begin in the afternoon and run past dusk to allow for time for night flight.
