Parkland School Shooting: Lessons Learned

Course Description: This detailed debrief of the Marjory Douglas Stoneman school shooting in Parkland, Florida, will cover a variety of topics, to include: What happened before, during and after the shooting; what worked, what failed, and what agencies should prepare for now. He will review policy, procedure, command-post and active shooter/killer response lessons. During the debrief he will note missed opportunities, key indicators and other information that may have resulted in a different outcome. He will review Leadership after the crisis and the critical issue of first responder wellness, and long-term mental health concerns for first responders.
