Navigate Features

The first step to becoming an expert in Navigate is to understand the key features that support the student platform as a whole, including the Path, Major Explorer, Plan, and Scheduling.

Path

The Path feature of Navigate serves as the backbone of the on-boarding experience for students by providing to-dos, resources, and key dates to students at the right time.

Major Explorer

The Major Explorer allows students to sort out their goals, preferences, and areas of interest before providing a recommended course of study. This feature functions as a simple intake survey that only takes a few minutes to complete and is able to be retaken at any time by the user.

Plan

The Plan portion of Navigate is the Academic Planning section of the tool, which allows students to course plan for both their current and future terms. Planned courses for the term appear on the left and show available sections when clicked on. Students have the ability to see course specifics, such as the instructor, class location, and available seats.

Scheduling

The Scheduling feature allows students to set their preferences for where they’d like to take classes, block any unavailable time in their schedules, and easily register for classes with one click.
