Get Involved With the Student Government Association and be entered to Win a $25 Gas Card

Students who attend monthly Student Government Association (SGA) meetings can enter a drawing to win a $25 gas card. Two students are selected at random from those in attendance at each meeting.

Meeting locations, Zoom links and additional details are shared through student email near the beginning of each month, making it easy for students to participate and stay informed.

Student life at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College extends beyond the classroom. Through SGA, students can share their voices, engage with peers, and help shape the student experience at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. SGA meetings provide students with opportunities to stay informed about College initiatives, events and programs.

The Student Government Association works in partnership with the college administration and operates under an approved constitution to represent the student body. All students are welcome to attend meetings, learn what’s happening on campus, and get involved.

SGA encourages students to take an active role in planning programs and activities and provides opportunities to use College facilities for meetings, events, recreation and collaboration. Students interested in taking their involvement to the next level are encouraged to apply for a student leadership role by completing the Student Leadership Application and submitting it to the Student Life Office.

What are SGA Minutes?

SGA Minutes are the official notes from Student Government Association (SGA) meetings. They highlight what was discussed, decisions that were made, upcoming events and ways student voices were represented. Think of them as a recap of how students are helping shape campus life – covering things like student concerns, funding decisions, and new ideas for events or improvements. If you want to stay informed or see how your voice can make an impact, SGA Minutes are a great place to start. Join us virtually or in person for our monthly SGA meetings. Meetings are typically held on the first Tuesday of the month, but may vary. Details provided weekly in your student email.
