Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS)

The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) established by the National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES) is a system of surveys designed to collect data from post-secondary institutions across the United States. IPEDS collects institutional-level data on students (enrollment, graduation rates), student charges, program completions, faculty, staff, and finances. The figures are based on data collected during the IPEDS collection cycle and are the most recent data available. All postsecondary institutions in the US that participate in any federal financial assistance program (i.e., federal financial aid) are required to report IPEDS data annually.

IPEDS Data Feedback Report (DFR)

The annual IPEDS Data Feedback Report (DFR) provides comparison statistics of the data submitted to IPEDS for the institution and a group of similar institutions, referred to as a comparison group. The purpose of the report is to provide institutional executives with information to help improve data quality and comparability of IPEDS data. This report provides selected indicators for Rowan-Cabarrus and a comparison group of institutions of similar size in North Carolina.
