In accordance with federal requirements, Rowan-Cabarrus is working to provide a complete list of all courses and programs that lead to professional certification and/or licensure and information on how internal requirements match those of other states. If you are participating in a course or program that leads to professional certification and/or licensure and intend on participating in a clinical or field experience or applying for certification and/or licensure outside of North Carolina, contact the program chair or director for additional information. Programs designated as (CE) are provided through Corporate & Continuing Education.
A program disclosure document is provided for each program listed below. The disclosure document provides a list of states and U.S. Territories and notes if the program requirements at Rowan-Cabarrus:

Students who graduate from Rowan-Cabarrus meet the educational requirements to take the mammography certification examination offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Occupational therapy program is ACOTE® accredited. ACOTE® accredited occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant educational programs satisfy the states’ educational requirements in all states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
Students graduating from an ACOTE® accredited occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant educational program are eligible to take the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification exam and apply for licensure in all states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
