Diploma/College Transcripts

When the stated position requirements include a high school diploma, GED, certifications, college coursework, or degrees, applicants are required to submit them. During the interview process, copies of transcripts are acceptable so long as they are legible and include the degree or certification that is awarded. When the qualifying degree is pending at the time of application, the applicant must indicate on the application and/or resume that the degree is pending and the date on which the degree will be granted. If the transcript is sent directly to Rowan-Cabarrus on behalf of the applicant, the applicant should assure that the institution issuing the transcript forwards the transcript to the attention of the Human Resources Department; if the transcript was issued under another name (such as a maiden name), the applicant should note the maiden name on the application so that transcripts are matched with the appropriate application.

Other important notes

  • Copies of diplomas or informal copies of grades cannot be substituted for a college transcript.
  • If you have attended Rowan-Cabarrus, the Human Resources department does not have access to your academic records. You must obtain your records or transcripts and submit to the Human Resources department as required by other applicants.
  • Foreign Transcripts may require additional evaluation from approved agencies. If an evaluation of credentials is required, expenses incurred for this service will be borne by the applicant.
